Home to 29 species of trees and countless acres of gardens, ponds, and walking paths, our certified arboretum offers residents and visitors alike a peaceful retreat where nature and community flourish together.

About the Arboretum
The 54-acres that make up Maple Knoll Village are blessed with an exquisite diversity of trees and plant life. Recognizing the natural beauty of campus, a resident-led Arboretum Committee was formed in 2017 with the goal of creating an enhanced awareness of trees and plant life by becoming a certified arboretum. After considerable effort and teamwork, the Maple Knoll Arboretum became a certified Level 1 Arboretum by ArbNet in 2020.
To ensure that residents and the public alike can enjoy the health and wellness benefits provided by the natural plant life on campus for years to come, the committee continues to oversee the Maple Knoll Arboretum. Their priorities include protecting the existing trees, increasing the selection and diversity of species, and improving the planning, standards, and care of the trees.
